Role Summary

The Senior Fleet Operations Coordinator will provide day to day support for Blue Hatfleetoperations. This position will be responsible for a variety of internal and external customer interactions relating, fleet information and billings, and data entry transactions. In addition, the Senior Fleet Operations Coordinator will be responsible for managing internal processes, providing internal team training as needed, and functioning as the point of contact specifically for DOT / FMCSA compliance. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of JE Dunn.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core

EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS COORDINATOR FAMILY - CORE



  • Performs routine duties and transactions infleetoperations, billing, and distribution in support of equipment rental and construction supply business.
  • Performs accurate data entry utilizing ERP software for fleet operations & DOT / FMCSA compliance.
  • Provides timely response via phone calls and emails from internal and external customers and vendors for routine information related primarily to Fleet operations.
  • Provides customers and vendors with pricing, availability, and specification details relating to fleet operations & DOT / FMCSA compliance questions.
  • May have responsibility for shipping, receiving, andfleetmaterials.
  • Organizes and consolidates incoming and outgoing equipment and inventory loads and validates transfer tickets to ensure accurate transactions.
  • May provide guidance to drivers on the proper storage locationsfleetitems utilizing thorough knowledge of warehouse organization.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled safety meetings.
  • Demonstrates fundamental understanding offleet operationsbusiness as it applies to company by utilizing key operational reports.
  • Participates in the continuous improvement plan by identifying opportunities in the current process and voicing potential improvements.
  • Provides suggestions and participates in drafting Small Win communications.
  • Writes Purchase Orders as directed for inventory, equipment, and job material needs through the company ERP system.
  • Provides follow up on submitted purchase orders and communicates with requestor.
  • Conducts research on equipment as directed and updates information in applicable reporting tools.

In addition, this position will be responsible for the following:



  • Advanced understanding of the equipmentfleet managementbusiness as it applies to company and utilizes key operational reports for day-to-daydecision making and recommendations.
  • Advanced understanding of DOT / FMCSA regulations
  • May lead training topics and discussion during team huddles and other appropriate meetings.
  • Actively participates in the continuous improvement plan by identifying opportunities in the current process, suggesting solutions and leading improvements.
  • Drafts and publishes Small Win communications on company internal portal for internal group and job site benefit.
  • Manages internal processes, such as blanket purchase orders, equipment set up, and SharePoint page.
  • May request, receive and evaluate vendor proposals for Logistics and jobsite material requests.
  • May perform analysis on quality, price, and delivery for Equipment Operations and jobsite material orders, determine best value, and write appropriate purchase orders.
  • Serves as main point of contact for vendors on submitted purchase orders and communicates with requestor to resolve delivery and pricing discrepancies.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner
  • Communication skills, verbal and written
  • Proficiency in MS Office - Intermediate
  • Ability to learn the data entry operating systems
  • Ability to identify relationships and dependencies, using data analysis and industry experience
  • Ability to identify common construction materials and equipment
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service through positive interaction with customers
  • Thorough knowledge of Equipment Operations including warehouse organization, storage of goods, traffic flow and the fulfillment process from start to finish
  • Ability to provide mentorship to less experienced team members
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be considered.

Experience

  • 4+ years rental, warehouse or construction materials experience (Preferred).
  • 2+ years DOT/FMCSACompliance(Preferred).

Working Environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Typically travel is not required
  • Normal office environment, but may be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold)
  • Frequent activity: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen
  • Occasional activity:Bending, Climbing, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling
