Position: Production Supervisor - Fabrication Department

Oconomowoc, WI

Job Overview

Currently searching for a Fabrication Supervisor. This position will be responsible for leading value-added operations to produce precision parts according to specifications. This person has a strong background in CNC machine processes, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and safety practices. This role is critical in ensuring efficient production processes and effective team management within our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of the Fabrication and Finishing departments, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Train, mentor, and manage a team of CNC operators and finishing staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and meets safety standards.
  • Implement and uphold quality control measures to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet project timelines and customer expectations.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for fabricating and finishing operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reports, analyzing data to improve processes.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in production management or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in CNC operations, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven leadership experience in a machining manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles
  • Strong technical skills in machining processes, tooling, and materials.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certifications in CNC machining or manufacturing processes.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency using AutoCAD, WoodWOP and RouterCIM a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to noise and dust.
