As an Engineering Service Representative at Arete, you will provide key mechanical design, drafting, assembly, and production expertise within an NPI environment. You will be responsible for assisting in development and build of highly complex electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical systems. These advanced technologies are primarily employed in maritime and aerial environments, where your expertise will contribute to our ongoing pursuit of excellence. This position is based out of our Santa Rosa, CA office and is classified as a full-time, exempt, non-supervisory position.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Assemble, repair, rework and/or troubleshoot complex electromechanical assemblies
  • Provide field support
  • Maintenance of system file and tracking assembly documents
  • Ensure all tasks are completed to customer's required delivery date
  • Generate Non-Conformance Reports
  • Develop assembly and testing documentation, procedures, and fixtures as necessary
  • Assemble and test systems
  • Assist in lab and field test experiments

Experiences and Background We Look For:

  • Strong Electronics and Mechanical background including assembly, tuning and troubleshootingElectronic/Mechanical devices
  • Familiarity with reading and understanding technical drawings and schematics
  • Thorough understanding of techniques in the use of hand tools, soldering, crimping and measurement equipment
  • Excellent manual dexterity
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work within a team environment
  • Navigate through ERP system
  • Strong customer service acumen

  • Previous experience working in ISO9000, MIL-STD, AS 9100 environment

The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.

Other Requirements

U.S. citizenship is required to meet position eligibility.

Selected applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Successful passage of a criminal background screen is required to meet position eligibility. Arete will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring.

Successful passage of a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug test is required to meet position eligibility.
