ABOUT THE COMPANY

Northern Air Maintenance Services (NAMS) is an FAA Certified 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska. We are the sole maintenance provider for ConocoPhillips' fleet of three DHC-8-400 (Q400) aircraft. In addition to maintenance services, NAMS handles ground operations, inventory control, and passenger screening for all flights between Anchorage, Kuparuk, and Alpine. With over 70 dedicated employees, we also provide contract maintenance for two DHC-6-300/400 Twin Otters and one CASA 212-300 aircraft based in Alpine, AK.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and REPSONSIBILITIES:



  • Receive, arrange, issue, stock, route, pack, ship, and account for goods received through the distribution system.
  • Inspect materials for part number, serial number, lot number, batch number, shelf life, calibration date, damage, bogus part signs, correct certification meeting FAR and GMM requirements.
  • Verify rotable items on incoming receipt are tagged by an approved overhaul/repair vendor, per NAMS approved vendors list.
  • Verify MSDS is loaded in system for applicable items.
  • Identify and prepare requisitions from low inventory levels.
  • Maintain records on incoming, outgoing parts and materials.
  • Process unserviceable parts and materials for disposition, exact process to be defined by Logistics Manager.
  • Assist with parts acquisition and distribution in and out of state.
  • Move materials in-house by type classification.
  • Ship hazardous and non-hazardous material(s) by aircraft and/or truck.
  • Use internet and inventory locator services (ILS) online. Light expediting and house keeping duties.
  • Regular cycle-counting and Inventory tasks as required.


  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Other duties to be assigned by Stockroom Manager


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Previous stockroom experience is a plus.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Valid Driver's License with clean driving record. Must have good customer relation skills. Must be computer knowledgeable and able to use MS Office Products and Trax software. Requires use of microfiche viewers, calculators, copiers, fax, and phone. Must be able to operate forklift. Must have knowledge of MSDS, CofC and 8130 forms.
