The Role:

Our site in Bedford, MA is seeking a R&D Technician to join our team. Our group is responsible for developing ultra-high efficiency metal membrane for us in gas filtration. The position will be responsible for building metal membrane and finished product for R&D as well as pilot line.

What You'll Do:

  • Follow a documented sequence of identifying, measuring, and processing raw metal powders to create targeted product forms. Use computer driven vacuum furnaces to process "green forms", and subsequently inspect measure and document metal membrane products. Perform cutting and cleaning processes, final inspection, labeling and packaging of products. Enter all inspection data and batch detail information into SAP.

  • Perform setup and adjustments according to work instruction specifications.

  • Use of metrology equipment (Scales, calipers...) and basic math.

  • Use ofcomputer programs, excel and other data entry tasks.

  • Operate and verify the performance of equipment and make necessary adjustments.

  • Prioritize work in accordance with lead/supervisor direction.

  • Keep work area clean and organized.

  • Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.

  • Maintains a clean and safe work area. Wears required Personal Protective Equipment. Performs duties in a safe manner and observes approved safety procedures.

  • Performs various operations on the productlinein accordance with the work orders and process record instructions.

  • Verifies product visually and takes corrective action when necessary. Ensures product is consistent with established specifications. Escalates quality issues as appropriate. Ensures highest possible product quality and adherence to the Entegris quality system, ISO and/or other standards.

  • Ensures all product is packaged per packaging specifications.

What We Seek:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent

  • Additional college or technical coursework is a plus

  • 1+ year(s) of manufacturing experience preferred

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

  • Ability to understand and perform documented processes and procedures

  • Detail oriented, highly motivated to be an active member of the team

  • Computer experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)

  • Ability to lift up to 50lb, climb a ladder up to 4ft, and walk/stand during entire shift

  • Ability to repetitively pinch and grasp hand tools, twist, bend, and reach upward to handle all materials required in manufacturing processes

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • An unparalleled attention to detail.

  • Experience with software for solid modeling and drawing, preferably SolidWorks.

  • Experience using powder metallurgy methodologies to create porous parts.

  • Knowledge of the semiconductor industry desirable but not required.

  • Must be able to thrive in a team-oriented environment with the ability to communicate effectively with cross functional team members.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Flexible and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Quick learner, open and able to adapt with new tasks and processes.
