Summary:
This role will lead the digital and social media strategy for the Pacira medical device division. The role is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing digital marketing campaigns to enhance brand awareness, engage target audiences, and drive lead generation across various digital channels. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital marketing trends, social media platforms, and regulatory considerations in the medical device or healthcare industry and has the ability to collaborate cross-functionally throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive digital marketing strategy, including social media, paid advertising, email marketing, and content marketing aligned with business objectives.
  • Create and oversee the brand's social media presence across all platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.), ensuring content is relevant, engaging, and compliant with medical device regulations.
  • In collaboration with our digital agency partners, plan and execute digital marketing campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation. Utilize data-driven insights to optimize performance and achieve KPIs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop high-quality, informative, and compliant content, such as blog posts, social media updates, videos, and infographics.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve search engine optimization (SEO) and manage paid search (SEM) initiatives.
  • Track, measure, and report on the effectiveness of digital marketing efforts. Use analytics tools to monitor campaign performance, provide insights, and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure all digital marketing activities adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards, including FDA guidelines for medical device marketing.
  • Manage the digital marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Support strategy of HCP and Patient CRM customer journeys and next best action plan activation.
  • Maintain ownership of the quality and consistency of plans, web standards, content and structure for the iovera brand.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
Interaction:
The incumbent will work closely with Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Agency Partners.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or closely related field required
  • MBA preferred but not required
  • 5 years in brand marketing or digital/social media platforms in a healthcare related field such as pharmaceutical/biotech/medical devices environment required

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing trends and best practices
  • Expertise in social media platforms, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and content creation
  • Familiarity with CRM software and marketing automation tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, digital and social media platforms

The work setting is consistent of a typical medical device office environment with offices and cubicles. The work setting will also include event spaces such as conferences and meetings at small, medium and large sized venues with varying levels of noise and crowded areas at times.

Pay Transparency

The base pay range for this role in California is $120,000 per year to $165,000 per year. The range is what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. The range considers a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: geographic markets, business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications.
