Channel Account Manager

The Channel Manager identifies, recruits, manages and maintains an assigned account base of indirect sales telecommunications partners which generate revenue by executing channel programs to sell new and existing company services and product to business clients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell accounts to increase overall total end-customer and partner business with the company.
  • Create account plans and strategies to win opportunities from existing customers, coordinate with internal groups on partner sales opportunities, prepare customer presentations, and coordinate with internal groups during the sales process.
  • Develop sales in designated account base by working with partners to identify new sales opportunities.
  • Recruit and establish new partners into the partner program.
  • Create and facilitate sales and solutions training that supports onboarding of new partners to ensure sales readiness for company products and processes, including product and systems training.
  • Provide overall relationship management and act as the central point of contact for channel partners, establishing productive, professional relationships with key personnel.
  • Manage and serve as the escalation path for end customers and partners to ensure excellent customer experience.
  • Manage potential channel conflicts with other company sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally.
  • Provide support and guidance to master agents in regard to commission inquiries. Serve as liaison between master agents and Uniti accounting team.
  • Track and report sales metrics, forecast monthly and quarterly sales, and manage opportunities to meet or exceed requirements.

Education and/or Experience:



  • Minimum of five years' experience in wireless telecommunications.
  • Bachelor's degree in telecommunications management, equivalent work experience, or combination of both.
  • Advanced knowledge of telecommunications industry, products and network capabilities.
  • Proven success of building strong relationships and partnerships.
  • Understanding of company financial measures.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to read effectively from a computer screen, sampling device and/or a paper copy.
  • Ability to travel an average of 25%.

  • Ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
