Job Description:
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for the sales of test systems. The target candidate would be responsible for implementing the sales strategy to increase sales, margins, market share and brand awareness of RENK products. Furthermore, the target candidate would be expected to conduct regular and recurring visits to customers and end-users to identify their current needs and future investment projects. These visits would be critical to influencing customers to consider RENK products as the preferred solutions for their requirements.

Essential Functions:
Active expansion of the customer network and close contact to established customers via regular video conferences and on-site visits.
Discuss and explain test stand solutions to the customer on a technical level.
Participation in trade fairs, symposia, and relevant industry working groups, including technical contributions supported by our product managers.
Establishing and maintaining the sales pipeline for test systems in North America with a high level of personal responsibility and creative freedom.
Close cooperation with the sales team lead at RSC and sales managers and product managers for the industry segments at RENK Test System (RTS) in Augsburg, Germany.
Support and coordination of proposals from sales lead and program planning to contract negotiation, order placement and handover to Program Management in order processing, supported by the sales team lead at RSC and sales manager at RTS
Coordination of internal experts with local suppliers for suitable program planning.
Preparation of proposals - considering technical, commercial and legal aspects, supported by the sales team lead at RSC and the sales manager at RTS.
Participation in the development of test system concepts in close cooperation with product management, internal sales, development & design.

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field with a minimum of 6 years prior related experience.
Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Minimum education and years of experience requirements are not to be used exclusive of other leveling factors. Substitution of additional relevant education and experience for stated qualifications may be considered.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work in a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Willingness for frequent travel in your sales region.
Willingness to train at company headquarters in Augsburg, Germany for minimum of two (2) months.
Entrepreneurial thinking and acting with a high degree of independent creative freedom.
Basic knowledge or willingness to learn about system development, simulation, testing, or project control.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Fluency in German Language a plus.
Relevant professional experience in the sales of capital goods or in project planning relevant to special plant construction preferred.
