Government Facilities and Project Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Facility Management:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the facility, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently. This may include meetings or events held at the facility.
    • Manage janitorial services and coordinate service repairs and inspections as necessary.
    • As required, facilitate government customers' preventative maintenance for advanced manufacturing equipment.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and safety guidelines.
    • Coordinate facility modifications and upgrades with Fullsight Procurement and Facilities Management, landlord and customers to support the installation and operation of advanced manufacturing equipment or other customer equipment. Support capital renovations; budget development; capital equipment purchases; supplier management and staff development for the facility.
    • Work with legal / risk management,HR and Fullsight Facilities Management to ensure overall safety and security for the facility, ensuring that facility-related safety and security items are implemented, scheduling First Aid / Fire Responder training for all SAE employees at the facility, managing fire / emergency drills at the facility, managing the selection and training of emergency response team members at the facility, conducting periodic site security inspections at the facility, participating in and complying with facility-related insurance policy reviews and audits, safety audits and administering the findings.
    • Responsible for the onsite allocation of ID badges for contractors, with support from Fullsight Facilities Management.
    • Investigate, negotiate and secure quality materials and services, within specified deadlines, budget constraints, and in accordance with established Fullsight Operating Policies and Pprocedures (600 - 614)
    • Manage facility-provided stock and supplies
  • Project Management:
    • Manage department-level government projects as assigned, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Also responsible for requisitioning activities for the purchase of goods and services related to specialized areas of technology, capital, contracted services and government contracts
    • Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and risk management strategies. Manages the efficient and effective use of allocated resources including financial, information, volunteers, contractors/ vendors and consultants. Develops and monitors compliance to or variance of budget for designated area, as applicable.
    • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, prime contractors, vendors, and internal teams. Implements plan for communications and marketing.
    • Contributes to fiscal management and strategic planning by developing and annually updating short- and long-term forecasts including business and financial projections as well as execution of strategies for new opportunities. Manages internal business practices.
    • Prepare and present project updates to senior management and government officials.
  • Additive Manufacturing:
    • Utilize knowledge in additive manufacturing and associated support equipment to support tenant activities in the development and implementation of new technologies and processes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management and project management, with a focus on government projects.
  • Proven experience in additive manufacturing and/or advanced manufacturing, including knowledge of relevant technologies and processes.
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage budgets, timelines, and risk management plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel as needed to various project sites and government offices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Supervisory skills
  • Excellent computer skills, MS Office, MSWord, MSExcel, Outlook, Teams, NetSuite, etc.
  • Expertise in facilities management
  • Expertise in supplier relationship building
  • Effective negotiating skills
  • In-depth knowledge of legal terms, conditions and contract related issues
  • Knowledge of Government contracting terms, FARs, conditions, and contract related issues
  • Knowledge of cutting-edge technology and information systems concepts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent).
  • Experience working with government agencies and understanding of government procurement processes.
  • Knowledge of advanced manufacturing equipment and maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 10% Travel
  • May be required to lift up to 50 lbs
