Location: Remote, USA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $88,000.00 - $110,000.00 (Range applies to US candidates only) + Benefits/Variable Comp/Equity - Range may vary based on experience. Benefits Offered: Vision, Medical, Life, Dental, 401K

Summary

This position focuses on the operations of customer environments, including provisioning, maintenance, performance monitoring and management, and disaster recovery. Additionally, the role serves as an escalation point for customer support requests. The successful candidate will prioritize the uptime, security, and performance of customer environments above all other activities. The ideal candidate thrives both independently and within a team, ensuring tasks are efficiently managed to enable seamless integration of operations across various locations and time zones. A passion for technology, continuous learning, collaboration, and a strong commitment to customer success are essential for success in this role.

This position requires availability to work Friday through Monday from 7:00AM to 6:00 PM ET.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities



  • Customer environment implementation and software configuration.
  • Perform environment updates, migrations, and software upgrades.
  • Monitor customer environments through Azure alerts and Operations Management Suite.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues while fulfilling on-call responsibilities with efficiency.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support, maintaining high satisfaction levels.
  • Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
  • Update technical documentation, workflows, and knowledge-based articles.
  • Identify opportunities for security and overall improvement.
  • Execute changes necessary for maintaining compliance certification.
  • Provide support for internal infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless execution and integration.



Required Education and Experience



  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • AZ-104 highly preferred.
  • 2+ years network engineering and infrastructure experience.
  • Proven experience as help desk technician or similar customer service role.
  • Experience with any of the following technologies, tools, and concepts:

    • Microsoft Azure preferred.
    • Microsoft Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 R2/2016, IIS, Microsoft SQL Server, Active Directory.
    • Automating processes using PowerShell, Azure PowerShell Modules, REST APIs, JSON or ARM Templates.
    • Identity management using Azure AD, Okta, OpenID Connect, SAML.
    • Working knowledge of various cryptographic algorithms and protocols (IPSec, TLS, SSH, AES).
    • Network and application security device configuration and management (Cisco, Barracuda, Palo Alto, SonicWall).





Preferred Education and Experience



  • Experience working for a cloud service provider (CSP) or managed service provider (MSP).
  • Identity management using Azure AD, Okta, SAML, PingFederate.
  • Hands-on experience with orchestration tools (Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible, Chef/Puppet, Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions).
  • Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications.
  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc.
  • Good knowledge of IT Compliance, policy development, and implementation.
