Program Overview
The Cosette 2025 Summer Internship Program gives students an opportunity for experiential learning in a corporate environment. This is a meaningful, mutually beneficial program where students will bring innovation and drive that will help Cosette reach our goals. In turn, our highly skilled team will help students apply what they already know and broaden their knowledge base.
This is an 11-week, full-time program for rising junior and senior undergraduate students at an accredited college or university. The summer internship will run from May 27 - August 8, 2025.
Position Summary
The business development (BD) team sources, evaluates, and executes on new business opportunities with other pharmaceutical companies. In this role, you will directly support the core activities of the BD team as well as engage company leadership and cross-functional stakeholders. Projects will tend to be analytical, so proficiency with Microsoft Excel or similar software is a must. Over the course of the summer, you will balance work on multiple projects that you will own, summarizing outcomes in clear presentations to BD leadership.
A strong candidate will have experience or demonstrated interest in the pharmaceutical or other life sciences industries. Experience using the IQVIA pharmaceutical database or similar toolset is a plus, as is having familiarity with financial modeling or accounting. Candidates should also be strong communicators, with experience building and giving presentations in PowerPoint.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Assist in identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, including for product licensing, acquisitions, and partnerships.
2.
Conduct market research and competitive analyses to assess industry trends, market dynamics, and potential growth areas.
3.
Create presentations for BD and company leadership that summarizes work clearly and concisely.
4.
Contribute to the creation of detailed financial models by helping to forecast product and company performance.
5.
Provide ad hoc support for emerging BD team needs.
Position Requirements
Educational Major Preferred:
Engineering, Sciences (e.g., Biology), Finance / Accounting
Experience/Skills Preferred:
Proficiency with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, Familiarity with IQVIA and/or analytical toolsets, Prior pharmaceutical internship and/or other life sciences exposure
Identified Project(s):
* Develop lists of products or company acquisition opportunities.
* Market sizing by therapeutic area.
* Analyze growth trends of products under consideration.
* Project management support.
