Job Description:

Acceptance Solutions Payer Interface team is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Development/Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) and Client Integration expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong technical background, enabling them to effectively manage client integrations and ensure the reliability and performance of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Integration:
    • Serve as the primary technical contact for clients during the integration process.
    • Coordinate with clients to understand their technical requirements and ensure seamless integration with our systems.
    • Develop and maintain integration documentation and guides for clients.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to enhance integration processes and tools.
  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE):
    • Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable systems.
    • Monitor system performance and reliability, identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact clients.
    • Troubleshoot the client issues and perform first level of triaging
    • Develop and maintain tools for automating system operations and improving efficiency.
    • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
    • Collaborate with development teams to ensure new features are reliable and scalable.
    • Implement and maintain security best practices to protect client data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Incident Management:
    • Respond to and resolve production incidents promptly.
    • Conduct root cause analysis for critical issues and implement corrective actions.
    • Document incident reports and resolution steps.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues, including application errors, server failures, and network problems.
    • Use debugging tools and techniques to analyze logs and system behavior.
  • Generative AI:
    • Use Gen AI and big data to identify opportunities and work with partner teams to improve systems availability and automate/optimize operations.
    • Stay updated with the latest advancements in GEN AI and machine learning technologies.
    • Lead and guide the team in AI design, code and implement new algorithms to solve complex problems

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD

*Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

*Strong experience with Java and REST APIs, Spring Boot

*Must have experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies, including but not limited to: AWS (Amazon Web Services), GCP (Google Cloud Platform), Azure, Docker, Kubernetes

*Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

*Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

*Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code tools, including but not limited to: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, Puppet, Chef

*Must have experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk

*Proven experience in a client-facing technical role, preferably involving client integrations.

*Strong understanding of SRE practices and principles.

*Strong experience with SQL and Datastores

*Strong Focus on Observability:

oImplement and maintain comprehensive observability practices including monitoring, logging, and tracing.

oDevelop dashboards and alerts to ensure system health and performance are easily visible and actionable.

oWork closely with development teams to enhance observability of applications and services.

*As an end-end champion for your products, you will have strong debugging and Unix skills to help support our Operations teams.

*A background in the payment's domain is a plus

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 124,700.00 to 180,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
