Job Description

Within VCS, the Strategic Partnerships team drives growth by developing and enhancing current and new partnerships, identifying new solutions, and solving for differentiated payment flows. These partnerships cover the largest tech titans, most creative FinTechs and key players in the B2B and procure to pay process. We are looking for the right candidate to join our dynamic team and contribute to our strategic growth vertical.

Essential Functions

TheSenior Manager forVCS Strategic Partnerships will need to be a creative thinker with an outstanding ability to craft solutions that are complex whilst building real market differentiation for Visa. The role requires an ability to work in a matrix environment, influencing internally as well as externally to craft these market firsts with new partners, being primarily responsible to set up, strategize, manage and grow strategic partnerships within Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) organization, providing a clear direction to the leadership on how and where to play in this space across our key LAC markets.

  • Develop a strategic positioning of how and where Visa should play in the partnerships space, collaborating closely with the VCS Strategy, Product and Solutioning, Sales and Business Development teams across VCS LAC.
  • Drive the B2B partnerships agenda and strategic prioritization regionally, working with key stakeholders across the region to achieve our objectives. Build and maintain an extensive and complete repository of partners, FinTechs and enablers with quantitative and qualitative factors to support the Senior Leadership for decision making and prioritization.
  • As a Go-To person on the VCS Strategic Partnerships team in VCS, be responsible to manage the discipline of evaluation, maintenance and simplification of partnerships portfolio. Coordinate meetings, co-creations and tactical roundtables with strategic stakeholders to facilitate the development of new initiatives.
  • Review and collaborate on the Business Case development for new partners, being the gate keeper of new initiatives aligned with VCS strategy and capabilities.
  • Support the development and execution of account plans with specialist B2B partners.
  • Screen the market for potential B2B players that can be categorised, prioritised and targeted from a business development perspective.
  • Collaborate with the sales and product teams to identify opportunities to work with partners to maximise revenue and build deeper client relationships.
  • Work closely with the product and sales teams to evolve the value proposition, products and platforms to meet both client and market needs.
  • Act as the liaison for partners. Proactively identifying and solving partner issues and challenges.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Experienced individual contributor with at least 8 years of progressive responsibilities and business experience. A consistent record in identifying business opportunities, developing partnerships, and executing strategic initiatives in a highly matrixed environment. Previous experience working in technology, FinTech, and B2B payables preferred.
  • Proven experience in partner development and account management in the payments industry.
  • The ideal candidate would preferably have an in-depth B2B payments expertise with either a Consulting, Product and or Business Development background.
  • Proficiency in managing partner relationships with demonstrated trouble shooting-problem solving skills and bias towards action.
  • Demonstrated track record of planning, managing and closing complex client deals or partnerships.
  • Ability to establish project plans, including deadlines and priorities. Determining financial requirements and capabilities, including budgets and resource allocation,
  • Managing the day-to-day activities of the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure that programs and projects meet organizational goals and requirements.
  • Proactive with a self-starter, can-do attitude, with ability to form strong working relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Superior strategic thought leadership, analytical skills and ability to develop and sell new strategies to clients to deepen client relationships.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, complex and dynamic environment with significant change, ambiguity and adapting to evolving organizational requirements.
  • Politically and commercially astute with the presence and credibility to build senior client and internal stakeholder relationships to achieve Visa team objectives.
  • Outstanding executive communication skills (written, oral and presentation) with an ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to broad audiences in an approachable way.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese is a differential.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 135,200.00 to 196,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
