Temporary Custodian I

POSITION SUMMARY: The Division of Student Life; Iowa Memorial Union is seeking a Temporary - CustodianI to be responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the Iowa Memorial Union

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

• Cleaning public study/dining corridor and lobby space and meeting room space
• Entrance, stairwell, restroom, office, and elevator cleaning
• Snow shoveling of entrances
• Project work as assigned which may include cleaning upholstery, carpet extraction, and floor refinishing
• Use of commercial cleaning equipment
• Stock supply carts when necessary
• Report and communicate repair needs for building and equipment
• Check email and complete online trainings

POSITION BASICS:

Hourly Rate/Range:$16.97

WORK SCHEDULE:

Hours:Weekday and weekend hours can be flexible on approval.

Work Week:May work occasional weekends

Additional Hours:May work occasional hours to cover absences and peak periods of operation
