The Director, Commercial Forecasting & Analytics is an integral part of the Corporate Strategy team at Jazz Pharmaceuticals. The role will report to the Sr. Director, Commercial Forecasting & Analytics. The role is responsible for leading forecast & related business processes and informing decisions for company's key Oncology products. The role will partner with various cross-functional groups to develop, articulate, and maintain a viewpoint on commercial potential and corresponding investments/effort.

This position requires a qualified professional with experience working in a corporate and/or consulting setting. The candidate should be proficient in excel modeling and have a track record of developing analytics to support strategic & operational planning. The role requires experience in navigating in a matrix environment, preparing & presenting to senior management, and informing business decisions. The role will enhance decision making by providing analytical rigor through development of scenarios, modeling risks & uncertainties, and clarifying trade-offs.

We are looking for someone who combines strategic mindset, excellent problem solving, natural curiosity, humility, and a strong work ethic to join our team. The candidate should have experience working in the biopharma industry with a solid working knowledge of the industry value chain. Relevant Oncology experience will be preferred but not mandatory.

Essential Functions

  • Drive Projects & Workstreams Independently: or with minimal supervision. Will work on organizationally complex and high impact projects or products.

  • Lead Forecasting Business Process: Develop forecast scenarios & ranges to inform operational & strategic business plans i.e., quarterly LE and annual LRP. Identify & outline uncertainties, value drivers and risks in partnership with SMEs. Summarize & present to senior leadership.

  • Develop & Maintain a Revenue Forecast and P&L Models: for several marketed indications and pipeline indications if and as they come for marketed products.

  • Strengthen Connection to EURINT: to ensure EURINT Oncology forecast(s) address corporate needs. Calibrate assumptions across US vs EURINT regions and consolidate forecasts.

  • Partner & Influence in a Matrixed Structure: Engage SMEs across global and regional functions e.g., Global Commercial, Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services, Commercial Ops, Data Science, and Regional Finance. Capture, exchange, and reflect diverse perspectives in the analyses to inform business decisions.

  • Shape & Inform Consulting Projects: Collaborate with insights & analytics and new product planning teams to identify business questions and inform/ shape/ lead corresponding market research and consulting projects.

  • Develop Strategic Analytics: strategic framing of business questions & develop analytics in support of global molecule and brand teams. Create effective graphics to communicate the story.

  • Partner on Corporate Strategy Initiatives: and special projects as a brand & analytics expert. Leverage disease area, value chain, and Jazz organizational knowledge to shape framing of business questions and delivering insights for decisions.

  • Maintain Product Factbook: Identify & maintain product factbook based on market & product related trends and events e.g., overall patients & bottles, book-of-business shifts, channel patterns & behaviors, gross-to-net changes etc.

  • Lead Annual SOX/ Audit Process: Author audit memos and prepare SOX documentation for financial reporting related to transfer pricing, intangibles assessment, and deferred tax assessment. Partner with appropriate SMEs to review outputs e.g., Global finance, Tax, Accounting etc. Lead reviews with external auditors (e.g., KPMG).

  • Ensure Timely & Transparent Communication: of forecasts, assumptions, rationale, ranges and supporting information across a range of stakeholders.

  • Be a Thought Partner: for the cross-functional leaders and other team members. Leverage broader industry knowledge and organizational experiences.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience with time spent in a commercial forecasting, insights & analytics, financial planning, or management consulting with focus on biopharma.

  • Forecasting & Assessments: Direct experience in market, disease area and product forecasting. Ability to articulate the market and product understanding into a "story with numbers" i.e., scenarios, forecasts, tornado charts, waterfalls, value drivers/ risks, and P&L.

  • Financial Modeling: Proficient in building excel-based forecast models, P&Ls, and other ad-hoc analysis as needed.

  • Partnering & Collaboration: Track record of cross-functional partnering in solving business questions and ensuring input & alignment on analysis.

  • Leadership: Experience leading and establishing processes to accommodate disparate but overlapping needs

  • Comfort with Ambiguity:Ability to work in a fluid environment and adapt project approaches as internal or external conditions change.

  • Project Management: Ability to plan and tightly manage multiple work-streams while balancing multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication / presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, and garner credibility.

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the full and complete base pay range is: $179,200.00 - $268,800.00

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
