Directly manage capital projects to include planning and follow-up on project deliverables, schedule, scope, budget development, safety, staffing, design, procurement, installation, start-up, and project handover. Ensure that capital projects are planned and executed according to the Novozymes project model and handbook. Establish and lead effective cross functional project teams in close corporation with User Manager. Collaborate with line of business User Manager to assure that user requirements are effectively transformed into project solutions ensuring adherence to local regulatory requirements, Novozymes standard and best practices. Establish effective means and methods for handling risk management, change management and stakeholder relations. Select, supervise, and coordinate the use of external engineering firms, consultants, suppliers, and contractors required for project activities and assure their work conforms to project requirements. Collaborate with corporate, regional, and local Sourcing departments to obtain the most cost-effective project solution that meets user requirements. Closely follow-up on project performance to assure quality of the project deliverables, budget, schedule, risk, scope, staffing, and safety, and take pro-active corrective actions when required. Prepare regular oral and written reports of capital project progress and status. Maintain the appropriate flow of information and communication to project steering committees and other stakeholders. Perform project reviews for other departmental project managers prior to critical project milestones on their projects. Collaborate with NZ Supply Engineering on a regional level for capital project administration, development, and execution. Ensure that all project activities comply with corporate and local pur-chasing policies for the procurement of goods and services. Support the Novozymes Environmental policy and EQS; assure that the environmental impact of changes to processes, equipment and materials is assessed prior to implementation. Perform job duties in a manner that supports Novozymes GMP, Safety, ZEAL and Quality policies and processes. Ensure project documentation (e.g. as-build drawings, equipment documentation, local regulatory documentation, maintenance documentation) is updated at handover of project, and stored according to local guidelines, accessible and searchable in the future. To succeed you must hold:
B.S. in an engineering discipline or strongly related field with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Demonstrated success in a number of areas: Proven successful performance and experience must be demonstrated in the management of capital investment projects in a processing industry. Knowledge and understanding of capital project management processes. Ability to lead cross functional teams and collaborate locally and glob-ally within Novozymes, and with external companies. Good organizational skills and effective written and oral communication skills in both local language and English. Good analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated to pursue initiatives and able to prioritize tasks and time
