Are you ready to kickstart the New year? Join our South Carolina training team at Gallo as a Training Specialist! In this role, you'll help design, develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs for our employees. You'll get hands-on experience with both instructor-led and technology-based training tools, bringing modern training methods to our team. You'll also support the department by helping with the logistics and processes that keep our training programs running smoothly.   • Develops curriculum and delivers formal training programs for audiences of varying levels of sophistication: training programs cover site specified areas such as but not limited to FSMA, EHS, Production, Quality, Maintenance, etc.
  • Partners with South Carolina state agencies and technical colleges for the development and delivery of appropriate foundational education and leadership development programs.
  • Monitors trainee progress during training programs.
  • Evaluates current training materials; makes recommendations to improve training materials in order to improve user comprehension and learning transfer to their job.
  • Identifies and selects appropriate instructional design through numerous modalities meeting the training needs of the organization.
  • Overseeing the implementation and execution of Training Within Industry (TWI) on-the-job training practices.
  • Selects and develops testing and evaluation procedures to be used at the completion of training courses.
  • Partners with South Carolina state agencies to implement and administer state registered apprenticeship programs.
  • Develops training programs and job aids in support of state and DOL registered apprenticeship programs.
  • Researches, analyzes, and recommends future internal and external training programs.
  • Administers, maintains and streamlines the training processes.
  • Educates clients on the training department's processing, policies, and procedures.
  • Participates in developing and sustaining a site Training Calendar and Master Schedule.
  • Connect new information to current processes and learning objectives to create effective training programs.
  • Supports the creation of standard work instructions, standard operating procedures, operating manuals, and training documentation in standard formats, ensuring all documents meet company expectations and guidelines.
  • Serves on cross-functional/site teams to support the creation of standard training materials to be used in multiple work locations throughout Gallo South Carolina operations.
  • Supports job-role specific skill teams in respect to skill development and training requirements.
  • Responsible for providing South Carolina operations-wide support with the execution and development of processes and logistics associated with all training functions, and for the execution of training-specific projects.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Workforce Development, Training and Development, Vocational Education, instructional Design, or related degree plus 2 years of experience in training in an industrial, manufacturing, or supply chain (warehouse) environment reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma plus 6 years of maintenance or production experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility to include 1 year of training experience in an industrial environment.
  • Training experience that includes developing and delivering instructional content and training programs.
  • Required to occasionally travel between South Carolina, New York, and Wisconsin sites to support training programs.
  • Required to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
