What you'll be doing...

Join our Legal & Security's Innovation and Emerging Solutions Team where you'll be instrumental in transforming how our legal and security professionals do their work. Your role will focus on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our teams by helping to optimize legal processes through user-focused design of legal technology solutions. This role is an opportunity to be at the heart of innovation within Verizon's legal organization and help transform the way we work:

You will be hands-on throughout the design and implementation of legal technology solutions and processes by:

  • Leading discovery sessions with our legal subject matter experts to understand their needs

  • Creating user personas, journeys, and wireframes for feedback and prototyping, and providing recommendations for business solutions.

  • Working with development teams to ensure implementation of the vision all the way through to delivery, including accounting for stakeholder needs, resources, budgets, and timelines.

  • Obtaining feedback from all stakeholders and iterating on solutions as needed and appropriate

  • Capturing the value achieved through IES work through metrics and weekly/monthly reporting mechanisms

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience in user experience and design, including the ability to quickly understand the needs of users.

  • Experience working with developers and other information technology professionals.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master's degree.

  • Experience creating user personas, user journeys, and/or site maps.

  • Knowledge of wireframe & prototyping software and processes.

  • Expertise in design layouts, grids, typography, data management and other digital design principles.

  • Experience working across a range of technologies such as ServiceNow, Contract Lifecycle Management systems (e.g., Conga/Apttus, Ariba, etc.), TAP, SmartSheet, etc.

  • PMP / Agile Certification / Design Thinking and/or Facilitator certification.

  • Intentional focus on using process, data, and technology to realize demonstrable efficiencies in our work.

  • Experience interacting with all levels of leadership and presenting compelling business cases, business performance results (particularly through the use of PowerPoint or Google Slides), and recommendations.

  • A deep knowledge of Verizon Legal.

  • Inventive ideas and a great ability to conceptualize.

  • Strong curiosity--you are not afraid to ask questions to ensure you understand things clearly.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.

  • Independent thinking.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $66,000.00 and $123,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
