About the Opportunity

As Program Coordinator you will drive progress with the multidisciplinary WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute's Innovation Center team. You will be part of an exciting collaborative effort at an R1 institution working towards innovative solutions to advance the science around optimizing brain health through focused ultrasound neuromodulation. In this role, your efforts will provide management to advance rapidly evolving work of six-year-old Institute that has already performed 11 first in human clinical trials, and seen exponential growth in publications, grants, and IP for work that provide a foundation to improve lives of people in West Virginia and around the globe.

This position will advance the research and development missions of West Virginia University by providing the necessary skills for the coordination and implementation of operational tasks related to several research and development projects focused on neuromodulation brain therapeutics that are essential to the research activities of the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute.

What You'll Do



  • Support the RNI Operates directly with the Vice President of Neurosciences and Executive Director of Research Operations of the Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute related to human resources and contracts.
  • Work closely with WVU and WVU hospital personnel related to human resources and contract.
  • In coordination with HR, develop and implement for RNI effective hiring strategies to attract top talent for various roles within the RNI.
  • Coordinate with HR the RNI hiring process, including approval, job postings, resume screening, interviews, reference checks, and offer extensions.
  • Collaborate with RNI administrative and leadership team to identify staffing needs and create detailed job descriptions.
  • Work with RNI financial team to align budgets for hires and contracts.
  • Maintain updated RNI organizational structures and associated documents.
  • Conduct interviews and assess candidates' qualifications and fit for the role.
  • Collaborate with RNI administrative and leadership team to help establish and execute contracts.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and execute contracts for various services and partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to contracts.
  • Manage contract renewals and amendments as needed.
  • Monitor contract performance and address any issues or disputes.
  • Oversee vendor performance and ensure compliance with contract obligations.
  • Advise the RNI administrative and leadership team on compliance matters related to hiring and contracts.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or human resources
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience involving:

    • Human resources management
    • Working with University and Academic Medical Center


  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems and contract management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
