Professional, Supplier Quality

This position represents the Supplier Quality Development (SQ&D) department in America and Canada region, coordinates SQ&D activities and ensures the SQD strategies are implemented with highest focus on quality, safety and environment, and without compromising agreed processes and lowest total cost of ownership. The key task is the operational development of key suppliers in the region by performing site audits, supplier assessments and conducting improvement tasks to enforce high supplier performance, zero incidents, and reduce the number non-conformities.

Responsibilities:




  • Deploy Vestas Quality, Safety and Environment Strategy towards external suppliers.
  • Manage supplier quality, capability and performance topics on behalf and in compliance with the SQD strategy.
  • Secure agreement with regional QHSE Teams for completion of supplier assessments and improvement activities.
  • Manage QSE activities in cases of non-quality performance and incidents with suppliers in line with Vestas requirements.
  • Manage and conduct supplier development projects.
  • Oversee and conduct QHSE audits on site and prepare executive report.
  • Travel expected to be approximately 50% per year.



Qualifications:




  • Minimum 3 years' experience gained on similar position.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of WTG installation or services sites is beneficial, but not a must.
  • Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering.
  • Certified auditor/lead auditor ISO 9000, 14000 and 18000.
  • Auditor AS8000 is beneficial but not a must,
  • Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent will be advantage,
  • Proficiency in software, spreadsheets, and database management.



Competencies:




  • Ability to prioritize - even in stressful environments.
  • Strong meeting facilitator with the ability to work on all organizational levels.
  • Proficient project management skills with the ability to manage development projects across the organization (external key suppliers).
  • Solid English skills in both speech and writing.
  • Effective problem-solving skills focused on a direct approach.
  • Supplier negotiation experience and contract management.
