We Require
Three years of experience in IT operations or related field Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
We Also Value
Six to ten years of progressive experience in IT operations or related fields is preferred At least three to five years in a supervisory or managerial role Experience working with multiple departments to implement IT solutions Proficiency in personal computer systems, LAN/WAN, software, hardware troubleshooting, and asset management tools Experience with IT ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk)
Job Contributions
Supervise and direct the work of IT operational support teams (e.g., help desk or PC/LAN); select, train, coach, and mentor staff Develop and implement customer service strategies; maintain current knowledge of personal computer and hardware support Ensure support practices adhere to policy and procedure compliance, recommend changes and adjustments to maximize efficiency Participate in budget preparation and administration Maintain current knowledge of asset and knowledge management, software architecture, and upgrade techniques Troubleshoot and resolve the most complex problems and ensure that division objectives are met Assist in the creation of IT operation strategies, personal computer strategies, and support standards Assists leadership in long-range systems planning Other job duties as assigned
Working Conditions
This position is eligible for hybrid flexibility after a brief training period Exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, or negligible amounts constantly or requires walking or standing to a significant degree The position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
