Job Summary	The Harbert College of Business is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to manage its pop-up merchandise store. The position will focus on overseeing all aspects of the store's operation, from sourcing and ordering merchandise to managing inventory and handling sales. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions	Key Responsibilities: Merchandise Sourcing and Ordering: Work with vendors to source and order merchandise aligned with the Harbert College of Business brand, ensuring timely delivery and product quality. Inventory Management: Keep accurate records of stock levels, manage inventory, and ensure the availability of popular items. Conduct periodic inventory audits to minimize discrepancies. Payment and Paperwork: Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork for merchandise payments in accordance with Auburn University's procurement policies. Store Setup and Operations: Set up the pop-up store location and create appealing displays to attract customers. Work the store during summer hours, including handling customer inquiries and processing transactions. Sales Tracking and Reporting: Record sales data, monitor sales trends, and report results to management. Make recommendations for future merchandise based on customer preferences. Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers, representing the Harbert College of Business with professionalism and a positive attitude.
Minimum Qualifications	High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge and skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Familiarity with inventory management systems and point-of-sale software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Must be available to work during the summer Work conditions: Physical setup and breakdown of merchandise displays may require light to moderate lifting. Flexible summer schedule with varying hours based on store demand.
