Vaco is on the hunt a strong Scrum Master to join our client as they continue building out Agile/Scrum processes throughout the organization. We are looking for those that have been involved in similar transformations and understand the dedication towards building this out. If you have worked in SAFe environments and understand what is needed at that level, we'd love to hear from you. If you have played a key role in Big Room planning or PI planning, we'd love to hear from you. If you understand Jira at an advanced level and are familiar with Confluence, we'd love to hear from you. This is an immediate hybrid, contract to hire role in Charlotte with a secondary location of Scottsdale. We are conducting interviews immediately for qualified candidates. Core Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies throughout each iteration cycle and coach team on Agile methodologies.
  • Oversee other business analyst activities and provide guidance around user story creation, review, and necessary requirement approvals.
  • Remove roadblocks and track team dependencies.
  • Coach Product Owner on backlog prioritization and customer engagement for requirements.
  • Coach testers and ensure that User Acceptance Testing is always part of the testing and deployment cycle.
  • Assist in the identification of high risk and error mitigation while promoting principles of standardization and simplification.
  • Advocate for Agile Ways of Working and promote the standard use of agile tools.
  • Train current team members in process changes, system implementations and policy changes.
  • Act as coach and influence the team through agile values.
  • Ensure that the sprint review (demo) always has the feedback loop of the customer.
  • Guide the team to improve their productivity and ensure that they are meeting their goals,
  • Work with the product owners to prioritize the product backlog and ensure that the team is working on the highest value items first.
  • Ensure that the team follows the Scrum framework and Data engineering & BI software management practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and identify areas where the team can improve their processes and practices.
  • Work closely with the stakeholders to ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Facilitate team meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Remove any impediments that are blocking the team from making progress.
  • Ensure that the team is maintaining transparency and visibility in their work.
Required Experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master with a focus on data-centric projects, with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and Agile scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS)
  • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and Agile scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization,
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide the team towards their goals Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Significant experience coaching teams on the sizing of user stories, breaking out and estimating tasks, and writing test scripts.
  • Ability to identify and remove any impediments that are blocking the team from making progress.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive change within processes and workflows
  • Experience with Agile collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Trello) and marketing automation platforms is a plus
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification is preferred.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
