Woodward is hiring for an Operations Technician to join our team at our Loves Park Campus in Loves Park, IL on 2nd shift. What You Will Be Doing * Setting up and operating manual hones, Talyrond and Talysurf calibration equipment * Performing visual and manual inspection checks using calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc. to ensure customer and company specifications are being met * Using company database to pull work/build instructions, document production, time, scrap, non-conforming products, etc. * Reading and interpreting blueprints to establish tolerances, perform work to meet the standards * Completing tasks based off production schedules while staying organized and communicating with various levels of personnel * Learning and performing new and challenging processes and techniques in manufacturing
What We Are Looking For Level 1: * High School Diploma or equivalent is required * Previous manufacturing experience in honing and/or ID grinding is highly desired Level 2: * High School Diploma or equivalent is required * 12 months or more in an operation technician or similar role (honing and/or ID grinding) is strongly preferred Physical Activities: * Moderate physical activity requiring agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds. * Ability to stand for entire shift. * Work is performed in an area with moderate risk or discomfort that may require special safety precautions, such as wearing protective clothing or gear. * May be required to pass Near vision and/or Color vision examinations This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of the ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce.
