Job Summary: As Manager, Business Intelligence at Revance, you will be responsible for managing a team of Power BI developers, the platform and developing a suite of Business Intelligence reporting. You will be working as part of the Analytics team, and support Revance colleagues with short-term and long-term decision making through Key Performance Indicators, reporting and data analysis. The Manager is responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of organizational reporting and analytics and critical business intelligence initiatives that will contribute to strategic decision-making across Revance. Reporting to: Sr. Manager, Business Intelligence & Strategic Insights Location: Nashville, TN (onsite 3 days/week) Salary Range: $117,800 - $162,030 Responsibilities/Essential Duties:
- Manage all aspects of Revance's Power BI implementation.
- Work to create and improve existing enterprise reporting.
- Build out "master data sets" that are efficiently modelled and support self-service BI.
- Utilize technology like Azure DevOps and Development pipelines for ALM.
- Design and build Power BI dashboards and reports to a high standard focusing on usability.
- Create standard templates for all PBI dashboards; including layout and brand coherent colors, with visualization standards for all developers to follow for consistent look and feel.
- Operate a control framework to minimize all types of risk.
- Establish an ownership model for Power BI artifacts.
- Collaborate with leadership team to manage and action incoming requests.
- Continuously implement and adhere to Revance's Data Policy guidelines.
- Perform assessments on all reporting requirements and develop long-term strategy for various reporting solutions.
- Maintain and transform all strategies in operational plans according to business priorities and within budget.
- Provide support to all business resources and monitor all requirements for various value-added services.
- Monitor work of the Power BI team, and ensure effective implementation of Information Technology initiatives to achieve all objectives.
- Manage data for transactional sources and prepare effective reports.
Basic Qualifications:
- Master's degree & 2 years' directly related experience; OR
- Bachelor's degree & 4 years' directly related experience; OR
- Associate's degree & 8 years' directly related experience; AND
- 1 years' managerial experience directly managing people, projects, programs or resources
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, computer science, statistics or another closely related field.
- Master's degree in business administration with a concentration in business intelligence.
- 7+ years' experience as a BI Analyst and proficient experience with Power BI.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated strategic focus with capacity to shape and drive vision, and ability to assume responsibility and accountability for advancing business intelligence objectives.
- Extensive experience and comprehensive working knowledge of business intelligence and data warehouse environments, including system administration, database design, dimensional modelling, security, reporting and analytics.
- SME in appropriate data visualization and modeling in Power BI to answer common or abstract business questions.
- Broad range of knowledge and skills from the Microsoft stack, such as SQL Server, Power BI, PowerShell, Power Apps, DAX, M (Power Query Language), SSIS and Excel.
- Essential that you have good practical hands-on SQL Server Data Modelling language (DML) such as T-SQL programming skills.
- Beneficial to have strong DAX, M, XMLA programming skills.
- Experienced in building automated reports and dashboards and creating operational reports.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and liaison skills, and well-developed ability to engage and negotiate with internal stakeholders with varying levels of data literacy and technical knowledge, from beginner to expert.
- Extensive knowledge of business analysis, business process re-engineering and information management practices and protocols including strategic planning processes and change management principles and practices.
