The Business Intelligence Analyst - Sales & Operations is a critical team member supporting the Sales department and executive leadership. Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager, this role combines sales support, data analysis, and project management responsibilities, requiring close collaboration with the IT department. A core initial focus will be the migration of reports from Cognos to Power BI and automating existing reporting processes. The ideal candidate is an experienced Power BI developer who can quickly adapt and contribute with minimal assistance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Collect, analyze, and interpret complex sales data from various sources to drive insights.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales dashboards, providing actionable insights to the sales team and senior management.
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on sales performance, pipeline health, market trends, and point-of-sale (POS) data for internal teams and third-party manufacturers' representatives.
  • Automate manual reporting processes, create new Power BI reports, and ensure consistent, accurate sales reporting.
  • Support the development of accurate sales forecasts by analyzing historical data, trends, and current pipeline performance.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to refine forecasting models and enhance prediction accuracy.
  • Partner with sales leadership to evaluate sales strategies and initiatives, providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • dentify opportunities to improve sales operations using data-driven insights, streamlining processes, and implementing automation to enhance efficiency in sales tracking, reporting, and lead management.
  • Work closely with IT and sales operations teams to optimize CRM and Business Intelligence tools, such as Salesforce and Power BI, to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the sales team.
  • Process and analyze monthly POS and JDE (JD Edwards) data to ensure accurate commission payments for sales representatives, collaborating with Accounts Payable through Ariba.
  • Facilitate the management of design registrations, sample orders, regulatory requests, and CRM updates (Siebel & Salesforce).
  • Oversee lead distribution from marketing communications, ensuring all relevant information is captured and addressed.
  • Act as a liaison between sales, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment and consistency in reporting and processes.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field, preferably within sales operations.
  • Familiarity with Japanese business culture or the electronics/electrical component industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on translating data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate or higher expertise in Power BI, Cognos, Salesforce, Snowflake and SQL.
  • Knowledge of other CRM platforms such as Siebel is desirable.
  • Understanding of sales processes, metrics, and operations.
  • Ability to work remotely 75% of the time with occasional domestic and possibly international travel.
  • Comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting and extensive computer use.


The pay Range for this role is $85,000 - $95,000 per year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus program. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
