Under the guidance and supervision of the head of Legal Affairs and of the Chief Compliance Officer, the Contract & Compliance Specialist supports the legal and commercial compliance operations and administration of the Company, including, corporate transactions, records management, and first-pass review of routine business contracts and confidentiality agreements, the management of federal, state, corporate, and industry licensure, and is responsible for undertaking activities to ensure that the Company meets its state and federal compliance obligations. The Contract & Compliance Specialist will handle a variety of activities of a confidential and critical nature independently and in a positive and professional manner. Essential Duties Under the guidance and supervision of the head of Legal Affairs and Chief Compliance Officer, the Contract & Compliance Specialist has the following responsibilities:
Requirements A bachelor's degree is required. A Paralegal certificate or equivalent work experience strongly desired. A minimum of 10 years' experience supporting a legal function including responsibility for corporate compliance related functions required in a regulated industry. Previous experience within healthcare strong desired. At least 10 years working in a corporate law department setting; experience working in a corporate compliance function; experience in a law firm setting desired but not required. Travel less than 10%.
