What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years selling within the financial services space
  • You will support TU's efforts to grow solution adoption within our Financial Services line of business.
  • Lead a sales pursuit and articulate the value proposition for solutions/products aligning to buyer needs and speak to use cases across various functions.
  • Then you will execute on this approach by leading the sales pursuit to support all stages of the sales opportunity lifecycle. This includes: Primary buyer contact; relationship / opportunity development; preparation and delivery of sales presentations; contract negotiations; and successful hand off to the account management team.
  • Deliver presentations that demonstrate TU's value proposition; develop/propose solutions, handle objections, contract negotiations and close new business.
  • In addition, you will partner with your sales peers to establish relationships with known buyers, decision makers and influencers among TransUnion's existing customers to cross sell/upsell.
  • In the pursuit of new sales opportunities, you will direct the appropriate engagement of TransUnion's sales support resources (e.g., our Line of Business Teams, Global Solutions Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), pre-sales engineers, account managers).
  • Collect, interpret and share market, customer and competitive intelligence.
  • Partner with our Solutions and Lines of Business colleagues to ensure Voice of Customer and product innovation.
  • Promote communication, team building, personal development and other traits to project and strengthen the culture of the company.
  • Travel to customer locations and trade shows/conferences as necessary.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistent quota/goal attainment
  • Proven track record of building partnerships and interfacing across all buying levels including, C, executive, decision maker and influencer. In addition, major account experience in a matrix environment with expertise in navigating large complex organizations, identifying buyers, influencers, and closing business
  • Relationships within financial institutions across the US a plus
  • Demonstrated experience within and/or knowledge of the financial services industry specifically Consumer Lending, Fintech and BNPL, along with delivering industry specific insights
  • Proven client engagement skills including prospecting, relationship-building, deal making, negotiating and closing business
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, company environment
  • Ability / willingness to travel domestically
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Articulate, persuasive and engaging communication style. Ability to be extremely persistent in a pleasant fashion.
  • Detail oriented; dedicated to quality; customer-focused
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in SalesForce
  • Bachelor's degree in from an accredited college or university or the equivalent in experience

Impact You'll Make:

Our Financial Services (FS) team is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as as Senior Industry Executive. This hunter sales position is accountable for achieving annual new business and revenue goals through customer relationship development, opportunity prioritization, consultative sales, and superior negotiation and closing skills, generating growth to customers and prospects. This key role will be responsible for prospecting and selling a specific solution suite to our largest Consumer Lending customers within the Financial Services Markets.

Senior Industry Executive will be responsible for the end-to-end sales process of TransUnion's Credit Risk & Marketing Services in the Consumer Lending marketplace sales team. TransUnion offers FCRA Credit Data that can be used for the marketing, underwriting and servicing of consumer loans. These companies are seeking to identify credit worthy consumers from TransUnion's consumer database and utilize our data to gain a competitive advantage.

  • Responsible for the generation of revenue for TransUnion products and services within the consumer lending marketplace within the given territory.
  • Develops pipeline and business plan designed to meet and exceed assigned quotas updating SalesForce to reflect pipeline key dates and targets, as appropriate.
  • Maintain complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
  • Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business line owners and decision makers.
  • Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in the taking of market share from competitors.
  • Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions TransUnion offers while providing feedback to key internal personnel.
  • Prospects to potential clients via outbound telephone calls, e-mail, and any other means necessary while demonstrating the ability to source prospects while working with marketing to follow up on outbound campaigns.
  • Assists in the implementation of the sales vertical plan as directed by the consumer lending sales leader as needed.
  • Builds and presents TransUnion solutions via PowerPoint and live application demos effectively demonstrating an understanding of prospect's business problems.
  • Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify prospects business problems, the effects of the problems, while positioning TransUnion as the most effective resource for making better credit and marketing decisions.
  • Understands market and product opportunities based on the prospect and client communications.
  • Communicates internally regarding prospects, opportunities, competitive issues, product enhancements, as well as, the status of existing clients.
  • Attends Trade shows as needed (post pandemic).
This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.

Pay Scale Information : The U.S. base salary range for this position is $94,000.00 - $148,000.00 annually. This position is eligible for both base pay and commission earnings. TransUnion commission targets are generally 20% - 50% of base salary and may vary based on position. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
