Overview General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider to the US Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking a Senior Inspector Operator to join our Folsom, California team. This position provides technical support to the quality and quality engineering (QE) functions. This position conducts quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards. Additionally this role captures and analyzes statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards. The Inspection Lead recommends new or enhanced methods, procedures and standards. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of Standard Measurement Instruments (SMI) such as but not limited to, CMM, optical comparator, microscopes, calipers, micrometers and height gauges. They will also have a basic understanding of AS9100/ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and AS9102 First Article Process, and a strong understanding of GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing) in accordance with ASME Y14.5-2009 and Zeiss CMM experience using Calypso software. Performs repetitive and routine inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures of standard parts, units, equipment, or materials.
Basic Qualifications
Pay Range (USD) $50,820 - $94,380 Pay Transparency Statement The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process. Additional Compensation Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company's Gain Sharing Program.
