This is a remote/ rotational position, working two weeks on and two weeks off or three weeks on and three weeks off, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Job Purpose: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Safety and Quality Assurance Coordinator. This role supports the team by ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, assisting with job preparation, and managing materials and tools. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering efficiency, organization, and work quality across crews while promoting safety best practices. Essential Job Functions: Safety Support: * Coordinate the procurement and distribution of safety equipment, including PPE (e.g., gloves, safety vests, goggles, gas badges, fall protection gear). * Ensure safety equipment is readily available and in compliance with company standards. * Replace or replenish safety gear as needed and maintain inventory. * Provide safety coaching to team members, especially newer staff, emphasizing proper use of PPE, fall protection gear, and adherence to safety protocols. * Evaluate and review fall protection anchoring points to ensure they meet safety requirements and are suitable for the task at hand. Work closely with crews to address any fall protection challenges. Workforce Development: * Provide hands-on mentorship for newer team members and apprentices. * Share tips, best practices, and guidance to ensure efficient and high-quality work. * Answer basic questions about job requirements and fire and gas system specifics. Quality Control: * Inspect and support quality control for key tasks such as cable pours (TMC2X), megging, and torqueing. * Walk down completed work to identify missed items and maintain quality standards. * Standardize practices across crews, including device bonding, wire sizing, and material usage. Job Preparation and Planning: * Conduct job walk-downs to verify device locations, elevations, and cable lengths. * Identify and plan for special requirements, such as scaffolding, manlifts, or unique material needs. Material and Inventory Management: * Oversee materials, devices, and cable inventories. * Organize the annex and trailer to ensure efficient access and documentation. * Track material levels, forecast needs, and assist with ordering to ensure readiness before job starts. * Assist with ISAM shipments and resolve material-related issues. Documentation and Redlines: * Support the creation and updates of redlines and tag/term packages. * Assist with printing tags and ensuring proper documentation for job requirements. Tool Management: * Ensure crews, especially new team members, have the tools required for their tasks. * Monitor and coordinate the distribution and maintenance of tools. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Strong organizational and communication skills. * Experience in safety protocols, quality control, or construction/installation practices preferred. * Ability to mentor and guide team members effectively. * Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on process improvement and consistency. * Familiarity with fire and gas systems, job documentation, and inventory management is a plus. Physical Demand/Work Environment: Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to: * Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, reach through low and high ranges, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear. * Must stand throughout evaluation. * Aerobic capacity evaluation via 3-minute step test. * Sit and reach and range of motion evaluations. * Lift 25 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands. * Lift 25 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands. * Carry 25 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands. Required Qualifications: * Current and valid Alaska State Fitness Certificate as a Journeyman Electrician. * High school diploma or equivalent (GED). * Valid driver's license and the ability to be covered by Worley auto insurer. * North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed. Preferred Qualifications: * Minimum three (3) years of on-Slope experience. * Minimum three (3) years of Quality Control or Quality Assurance. |
