Job Description

Benefits:

Signode offers a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees, which includes health, dental, vision, 401k, paid time off, life insurance, wellness perks, and more. Benefits begin the month following the hire date.

Salary:

$75,000 - $105,000

Summary:

This individual will be responsible for accurate and timely planning, development, implementation and maintaining of the accounting controls and corresponding reporting systems required to properly record accounting transactions in a consistent manner for all locations. A high level of communication and interaction with personnel at the remote manufacturing and distribution facilities will be critical.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop procedures/systems aimed at maximum efficiency and reduced paperwork costs within the Finance department.
  • Fulfill corporate reporting requirements of monthly, quarterly and annual performances as well as any external reporting requirements.
  • Maintain control and accuracy of all inter-company transactions.
  • Perform monthly transactions and reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
  • Investigate all variances between general ledger balances and subsidiary ledgers or other independent documentation.
  • Prepare correcting journal entries as required.
  • Manage external and internal audits and participate in the preparation of all schedules and summaries required by the auditors as well as coordinate the collection of all data located at other company locations.
  • Keep abreast and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and SIG financial policies.
  • Complete supplemental schedules in Signode's consolidation reporting system (OneStream).
  • Reviews capex project, CIP accounting, and fixed assets accounting, including additions/disposals and depreciation for a business unit.
  • Manage financial and operational leases postings.
Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting required; will substitute for strong relevant experience.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of progressive financial experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing accounting.
  • Experience with integrated ERP systems, high proficiency in Excel.
  • Working knowledge of financial consolidation programs, such as OneStream or Hyperion preferred.
