ISCO Industries is an end-to-end piping solutions provider that specializes in HDPE. Technical Design Engineers act as support resources for ISCO personnel and our customers.

Essential Duties



  • Sales/project presentations, product demonstrations, development of ISCO technical resources such as field reports, technical papers, product catalogue, etc., and trouble-shooting and/or problem resolution for various sales projects.
  • Respond to technical questions about material properties and applications posed via telephone and/or e-mail
  • Manage drawing projects - reviewing isometric drawings, reviewing CAD drawings, entering fabrication bills of material, estimating time to complete and releasing work orders for production.
  • Estimating the cost of custom fabrication in order to facilitate the sales quotation process.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Review quality issues from technical perspective, discuss with sales and quality department
  • Industry organization memberships and committee involvement
  • Perform other tasks as needed.


Base Qualifications and Competencies



  • Education: Qualified candidates will possess, at minimum, a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering discipline. Prior work or internship experience working with plastics and/or in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience: 0 - 5 years. Some level of experience in production or fabrication a plus.
  • Skills: Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor 2009 or more current version and previous blueprint reading experience is preferred. Must also have working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Etc.).
