What You'll Bring:

  • 5-7 years of experience working on climate change mitigation and/or environmental programs
  • Background in sustainability, climate science, ESG scope 3 greenhouse gas accounting, particularly the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, strongly preferred and/or sustainable development
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to conduct independent in-depth research into sustainability-related topics and report findings to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a virtual, multicultural environment
  • Highly organized, fast learner, and strong attention to detail
  • Results-oriented, ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a constantly evolving environment
  • Experience in influencing and collaborating across organizations to drive new programs.
  • Experience with written and verbal communication across executive leadership team, peers, managers, and junior staff.

Impact You'll Make:

Given the scale and importance of scope 3 target-setting and an increasing urgency for action, The Responsible Procurement Program will be launching a supply chain emissions reporting initiative. This is an exciting opportunity to join TransUnion and be a part of Information for Good. In this role, you will play a key role in scope 3 emissions within the supply chain, methods, and criteria to ensure that TransUnion effectively catalyzes value chain decarbonization while being cognizant of the barriers that the market faces. Fully remote candidates will be considered for locations where TransUnion has business operations.

  • Support the development and ongoing implementation of updated scope 3 emissions, target setting methods, emissions calculation tools, and emissions validation criteria
  • Develop guidance documents and support materials to improve companies' baselining and tracking of scope 3 emissions
  • Assist in managing an inclusive and balanced stakeholder process to ensure deliverables are aligned with climate science and strike the right balance of credibility and practicality
  • Support engagement and coordination with key partners to drive ecosystem collaboration
  • Help develop communications material related to scope 3 research such as presentations, case studies, and other communication documents
  • Project managing subject-matter expert contributions to enterprise projects (e.g., Sustainability Report, Global Materiality Assessment)
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Pay Scale Information : The U.S. base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $150,000 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion's annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
