GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Operations Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in overseeing the lifecycle of business applications, with a primary focus on Supply Chain Management (SCM), Inventory (INV), Warehouse Management (WMS), Food Traceability and Shop Floor Controls (SFC) functions. This position is tasked with implementing industry-leading practices to address intricate business challenges and proactively drive process improvements. A key aspect of this role involves collaborating seamlessly with various stakeholders, Controls Engineers, including IT, Dole business personnel, and external partners.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

Leverage personal initiative and business acumen to guide partners towards more efficient and competitive processes. Key responsibilities include:
* DCConnect System
o Support our current DCConnect interfaces with ERP systems
o Support our Barcode Label printing processes across our operations
o Manage DB2 databases - create, change, backup & restore
o Manage Intranet Webpages reflecting DCConnect transactions to support operations
* Requirements and Documentation
o Capture complex user needs, business workflows, and functional specifications
o Create and validate QA/UAT test scripts, facilitating communication between OPS systems management and users
* Project Management
o Execute assigned projects, managing personal tasks and coordinating external resources
o Develop program specifications, including process flows and data models
o Assess and recommend SCM, WMS, Food Traceability and SFC solutions
o Investigate and resolve discrepancies between current operations and approved requirements
* Stakeholder Management
o Cultivate strong relationships with business clients and Operations & Materials team members
o Manage expectations for projects and resulting systems
* Operational Support
o Oversee critical production support using service management tools
o Ensure adherence to service level agreements and communication protocols
* Training and Documentation
o Review end-user training materials and guides
o Coordinate hands-on training for Operations Systems applications
* Perform other duties as assigned by management

Required Skills

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES:

* Extensive experience of 5+ years in relevant business systems, with a strong emphasis on Supply Chain Management and Warehouse Management and Operations
* DCConnect Software Knowledge & DB2 Database Management.
* JDE Functional & Technical Knowledge in Distribution, EPM Modules.
* AS400 Technical Knowledge is preferable.
* Experience with Bartender Software, Colos Software, Scada, Power BI, and SQL Databases is a valuable asset.
* Proven track record of at least 3 years in implementing and delivering functional solutions for projects, specializing in a minimum of two areas such as Warehouse Management, Inventory, Food Traceability & Shop Floor Controls
* Demonstrated ability to identify issues, gather information, establish facts, and derive sound conclusions.
* Proficiency in conducting systems analysis, including creating logic flow charts, decision trees, work process flow analysis, data flow analysis, logical data modeling, and performing statistical analysis (e.g., sample statistics, trend analysis, queue analysis).
* Skilled at inspiring and guiding team members to achieve business objectives.
* Strong aptitude for mathematics and analytics is highly desirable.
* Previous experience with leading Food Traceability & Shop Floor Control solutions.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk or hear.
* The employee must occasionally lift (including overhead) and/or up to 15 lbs.

WORK HOUR & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

* Willingness to extend work hours as needed (part of the on-call support team; may be required to work outside standard business hours in cases of system outages or upgrades that demand specific expertise and experience.
* Team member supporting Operations (24 x 7 x 365)
* Ability to travel up to 50%

Required Experience

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems Preferred.

PAY RATE:



  • $80,000 - $90,000 Annually
