The team We are seeking a dynamic Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Engineer with expertise in designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud infrastructure solutions. This role requires a strong technical foundation in cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps practices, and proficiency in programming and scripting. The ideal candidate will drive service engineering on Google Cloud Engine (GCE) and contribute to the seamless integration of solutions into SDLC pipelines. The role Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure Design and Development Identify dependencies and integrations required for implementing scalable and secure solutions. Engineer and optimize Google Cloud Engine (GCE) services through the development and testing of reusable Terraform modules. Design, build, and package custom Windows and Linux images, ensuring high quality and consistency. Programming and Automation Develop scripts and tools in Python and Java to automate infrastructure management and streamline operations. Leverage Spring Framework for developing and integrating robust backend services where needed. Security and Compliance Address security findings, resolve threat tickets, and implement controls for engineered solutions. Ensure compliance with industry best practices and standards through thorough documentation, including RFI and RFP processes, for production assurance. DevOps and Integration Integrate GCE modules and solutions into SDLC pipelines to enable efficient CI/CD processes. Use DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps) to manage deployment artifacts and version-controlled infrastructure. Collaboration and Documentation Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and address infrastructure requirements. Maintain clear and concise technical documentation for all solutions and processes. What you'll bring Required Skills and Qualifications
Google Professional Cloud Architect or similar GCP certifications. Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or related Kubernetes certifications. Certifications in Terraform or DevOps tools are a plus. As required by the equal pay and transparency acts, the expected base salary for this position is: $125k-$130k base+ bonus. The expected pay is determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, depth of experience in the practice area. Employees are eligible to participate in Hitachi Digital Services bonus/variable/commission pay programs, where applicable, and are subject to the program's conditions and restrictions.
