ORC is seeking a full-time, exemptPermit Agentto work on projects based inOhio, Indiana, Kentucky, Wisconsin, West Virgina, or Virginia. The selected candidate will have the flexibility to work remotely out of their home office and must reside in either of the following states per client mandate and must have some understanding of local municipalities: Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Wisconsin, West Virgina, or Virginia. What you will be doing: As a Permit Agent, you will be tasked with identifying all road crossing, foreign utility crossings, rail crossings, water crossings, special use/conditional use permit requirements etc. by using research methods such as internet, courthouse, and recorded documents. The permit agent must be familiar with real property concepts and instruments as well as utilizing Geographic Information Systems for property research and maintenance. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. The employee is required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff. This role requires the employee to occasionally travel to meet with clients or vendors which involves time driving; sometimes for long durations. While meeting with clients and vendors, will need to be outdoors traversing different types of landscapes. May be exposed to the elements (heat, rain, snow, cold).
