Job Description

This is a self-sustaining position, located at Eielson AFB, Alaska, and is responsible for oversight of the operations and maintenance services of tactical data link (TDL) equipment in support of Red Flag Alaska. The Subject Matter Expert sustains and operates TDXi's day-to-day operations.




      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      The duties and requirements of this position include but are not limited to the following:



      • Responsible for Tactical Data Link Program Management supervision and duties as directed by PACAF
      • Interface with Government representatives for all day-to-day and exercise operations, including scheduling, planning, and project coordination. Attend meetings, conferences, and maintain direct coordination with the MAJCOM CORs, as directed by the Program Manager


      • Perform as Instrumented Training Range technical expert for all technical reviews, working, and user groups as directed by PACAF
      • Provide interface with the client for each assigned program
      • Perform setup and operate Link 16 system at various deployed locations as required by PACAF


      • Implement, effectively manage, and enforce safety practices, and ensure adherence to all government directives
      • Ensure compliance with all Quality Management Systems, to include division ISO 9001:2008 certification
      • Ensure compliance with all Safety Program Requirements, including plans, policies/guidelines, procedures, and work instructions
      • Ensure compliance with all Industrial Security requirements


      • Ensure compliance with TDXi's Quality Control and Safety Programs
      • Other duties as assigned by the Program manager


      MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:



      • Minimum Undergraduate Degree required, Master's Degree Highly Desired
      • Six (6) years of verifiable military leadership experience
      • Link 16 or Tactical Data Link Experience required
      • IAT Level II (Security +, and must keep this certification current; or the ability to obtain the certification with 90 days of employment)
      • Operating system certificate (or the ability to obtain certification with 90 days of employment)
      • Aircrew, GCI/ATC Controller or Weapons Director Experience highly desired
      • Formal JICO training or TDLM experience highly desired
      • Government Contract and Program Management Experience Desired
      • Project Management/proposal writing experience or certificate desired


      Additional Requirements



      • US Citizen // Secret Clearance or ability to obtain is required
      • Applicants must have a valid state driver's license
      • Passport required
