Job Summary

Reporting directly to the BI and Data Services Manager, the Financial Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in providing analytical and problem-solving assistance. Key responsibilities include engaging with business stakeholders, collaborating with business users to gather report requirements, and fulfilling data requests in Finance, Budget, and SCM domains. These activities primarily support the Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud EPM applications.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the Oracle Fusion Cloud platform, as well as a strong understanding of financial data and reporting. They should also have experience with SQL, PL/SQL, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. In addition, they should have technical experience in Oracle financials, with a broad understanding of at least four modules from General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, Supplier Portal, Employee Expense, Fixed Asset, Inventory, Cost Management, Project Accounting, and Grants.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
* Bachelor's degree in finance, information technology, business administration or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
* Experience running data queries and using online financial and accounting systems.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in implementing and supporting Oracle ERP. At least 1 years should be from Oracle Fusion Cloud.
* Hands on experience in Oracle Fusion ERP Cloud including analyzing, designing, running reports using FRS, OTBI, and BI Publisher.
* Advanced knowledge of business and process analysis functions including the design, development and application of technology and systems to meet business needs, including the ability to identify, analyze, and organize processing requirements, documentation, and data; including the ability to write functional documentation in a clear and concise manner for complex process and systems requirement documentation standards, such as Use Case modeling, User Story creations and narrative description.
* Demonstrated project management skills and working with vended SDLC and project management tools such as Smartsheet, JIRA, Confluence, and Box using standard project methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall in both independent and blended approaches.
* Knowledge of leading practices and trends pertaining to design, development, and support of enterprise cloud applications.

Preferred Qualifications
* Oracle Fusion Cloud Certified.
* Lean Six Sigma Training or Certification.
* Certified Public Accountant.
* Master's degree in information technology, accounting, business administration or related field.
* Experience in end-to-end implementation one of the following Oracle Cloud modules/processes: P2P (Procure to Pay), RTR (Record to Report), PPM (Project Portfolio Management), Grants Management, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Inventory Management.
* Experience working with boundary systems, and integrations with other ERP systems (e.g., SAP Concur PeopleSoft HCM, etc.).
* Self-motivated and proactive with excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and team/collaboration skills.
* Understands the needs and concerns of central finance, central budget, supply chain management and user groups and ability to determine strategies for best meeting those needs.
* Read, understand, and model the UC Davis Principles of Community.
* Strong professional ethics and accountability.
* Understand the various systems, policies, procedures, and regulations that govern and guide the department and university.

Department Overview
Administrative Innovation and Technology is part of the Finance, Operations & Administration (FOA) organization and manages a diverse end to end portfolio of technology services essential to the entire UC Davis campus including UC Davis Health System.

The BI and Data Services unit oversees and supports Data Delivery and Report Development to support Oracle Cloud Financial ERP and Procurement ERP. The position supports the mission of the university and protects the confidentiality and integrity of UC Davis' financial and budget data.
