About the role:

We are seeking a senior marketing project manager to oversee the development, management, and publishing of a comprehensive marketing calendar. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the intake process for marketing requests, maintaining and updating the marketing calendar tool, and ensuring that urgent marketing requests are escalated appropriately.

This role is essential for ensuring smooth execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and improving efficiency within the marketing team. In this role, you will serve as a central point of contact for all marketing requests across the organization, ensuring timely execution and adherence to established processes. The ideal candidate is a strong project manager with exceptional communication skills and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:



  • Marketing Calendar Development and Management:



    • Lead the creation of a net-new, cross-functional marketing editorial calendar.

    • Maintain the calendar, ensuring organizational alignment and adherence to our vision and strategy.

    • Proactively manage timelines, deadlines, and resource allocation to ensure smooth and efficient execution of all marketing activities.

    • Update the calendar regularly to reflect changes, additions, and shifting priorities enabling consistent visibility across the organization




  • Marketing Request Intake Process:



    • Support the intake and prioritization of marketing requests from different departments and stakeholders, ensuring that all information is collected accurately and completely.

    • Evaluate incoming requests, ensuring they are properly documented and contain all necessary information, and follow up with requestors to clarify incomplete submissions and gather missing details.

    • Prioritize requests based on timelines, business impact, and available resources.

    • Identify and expedite urgent or business-critical requests.




  • Process Enforcement:



    • Ensure adherence to established marketing processes and workflows.

    • Understand the marketing team SLAs, how they are developed, and what process should be followed when process modifications are needed.

    • Educate stakeholders on the importance of following procedures and provide guidance on submitting complete and accurate requests.

    • Continuously evaluate and refine processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.




  • Other marketing activities:


    • Support other marketing initiatives or activities as assigned by the marketing leadership team.



Required qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience in project management, marketing operations or related fields

  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in project management and/or content management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, Trello, Monday.com, Contentful).

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
