Building the world's leading sound experience starts with the experience we provide for our people. That's why we've been distributed from the start: initially between offices in Boston & Santa Barbara, and now with additional offices around the globe. This role can be done from any of our offices across the United States or remotely from home. It's about impact, not location.

The Global Media Operations Specialist will play a pivotal role in optimizing and standardizing media processes across global markets. You will collaborate with regional media teams, external agencies, and internal stakeholders to streamline operations, ensure consistency, and implement best practices across all media activities. Your focus will be on improving media workflows, managing creative delivery and performance, and ensuring that campaigns are executed in line with global standards.

What You'll Do: Global Media Process Standardization:
  • Develop and implement global media processes and workflows that align with regional and global marketing objectives.

  • Ensure that all media campaigns, from planning through execution, follow standardized operational procedures, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and scalability across regions.

  • Work with regional media teams to identify gaps in existing processes and drive continuous improvement and process optimization.

  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to define and implement best practices in media operations, ensuring uniformity in media planning, buying, and reporting.

Media Operations Optimization:

  • Lead the global integration of media tools, platforms, and technologies to streamline media operations and improve data accuracy.

  • Manage the setup and ongoing maintenance of media planning and reporting systems to ensure efficient campaign execution and tracking.

  • Track and report on the effectiveness of global media processes, recommending improvements where necessary to ensure optimal campaign performance.

Cross-Regional Coordination:

  • Act as a key point of contact for media operations teams across different regions, ensuring alignment on processes, tools, and data management practices.

  • Facilitate the sharing of knowledge, best practices, and insights across regions to drive operational excellence globally.

  • Support the regional media teams with campaign execution, troubleshooting operational challenges, and ensuring adherence to global standards.

Vendor & Agency Management:

  • Work closely with global media vendors and agencies to ensure that operational processes are standardized and that service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met.

  • Assist with the global onboarding process for new media partners and ensure they understand and follow the established operational standards and reporting protocols.

  • Track and assess the performance of media vendors and agencies across different regions, providing recommendations for improvements in operational efficiency and cost management.

Global Creative Execution & Reporting:

  • Manage the communication of creative needs via a central creative briefing process and ensure that assets are delivered in a timely manner and in line with the media plan needs.

  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of global media performance reports, ensuring that the data is consistently collected and accurately presented across regions.

  • Standardize the reporting process for media campaigns across all regions, ensuring that global KPIs are tracked, monitored, and reported uniformly.

Training & Support:

  • Lead the development and delivery of training programs for regional media teams on global media tools, processes, and best practices.

  • Provide ongoing operational support to regional teams, troubleshooting challenges and ensuring the smooth execution of media campaigns.

  • Ensure all team members are up to date on the latest tools, technologies, and process changes within global media operations.

Minimum Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in media operations, marketing, or digital media.

  • Proven track record of working with global or regional teams and managing media workflows.

  • Experience collaborating with external agencies and managing cross-functional projects.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of media planning, execution, and measurement.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Solid knowledge of digital media platforms, advertising technologies, and media tools.

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with media management or project management tools is a plus.

  • Other: Strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment.

At Sonos we consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may lead individual compensation to vary depending on job related qualifications, skills, and experience. All full time employees are eligible for merit increases, discretionary bonuses, and equity. Our job postings may span more than one career level and the base pay range may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions. The starting base pay for this role for all US candidates is between:

$75,000 and $83,300

Please note that compensation details listed in US job postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
