Director, IT Infrastructure and Operations

Description

Dodge Construction Network (Dodge) is seeking a seasoned and strategic IT leader to join our team as Director, IT Infrastructure and Operations. This role will be responsible for leading and managing our IT operations, cloud infrastructure, and desktop support teams. This individual will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data and systems. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, driving continuous improvement, and working collaboratively across cross-functional teams.

This is a full-time position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer.

Preferred Location

This is a remote, home-office based role and candidates based in the continental United States will be considered

Travel Requirements

Expected travel is 5% for this role

Essential Functions

  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive IT roadmap covering infrastructure and cloud management that's aligned with industry best practices
  • Ensure IT infrastructure adheres to industry regulations and compliance standards
  • Establish and enforce IT policies and procedures
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of IT infrastructure, including network management, server administration, data storage, and backup systems
  • Collaborate with IT Security team to maintain a robust security posture across the IT ecosystem, including vulnerability management, incident response, and access controls
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Finance, HR, etc.) to understand their needs and implement secure IT solutions that meet their business objectives
  • Assess Dodge's IT processes and practices and create a plan for continuous improvement that is based on the utilization of metrics
  • Lead and develop a team of IT infrastructure engineers, network administrators, system administrators, and support staff
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key IT vendors and partners
  • Stay up to date on the latest IT trends and technologies to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, optimizing resource allocation and identifying cost-saving opportunities

Education Requirement

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and work experience

Required Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT and cloud infrastructure management in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep technical expertise in IT infrastructure technologies including networking, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud computing, and security
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud computing technologies (AWS preferred) and best practices
  • Strong understanding of security principles, frameworks, and compliance requirements
  • Proven leadership and management experience with the ability to motivate, inspire, and mentor a team of IT professionals
  • Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions based on business needs
  • Experience in project management and delivering complex IT initiatives
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Salary Disclosure

Dodge Construction Network's compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, uncapped commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
