As a Global Sourcing Intern, you will collaborate with divisions, sites, and top-tier suppliers to source materials, products, goods, and services that drive competitive advantage for the organization. The Global Sourcing Organization oversees procurement activities at Boston Scientific. You may develop and execute sourcing strategies in areas such as Facilities, Professional Services, Maintenance, Repair & Operating (MRO), Sales & Marketing, Information Services, and Human Resources.

Your responsibilities will include:




  • Responsible for developing and executing optimal commodity & sourcing strategies


  • Build & enhance supplier relationships to drive sourcing & supplier initiatives, service & deliver sustainable cost reductions, whilst reducing or mitigating risk in the Supply Chain


  • Help monitor market dynamics and communicate changes that affect internal client needs


  • Partner with internal clients and stakeholders to identify sourcing needs, conduct buyer/market profiles, share marketplace trends, share best practices, increase value proposition etc.


  • Support team members with negotiations for price centric products and services with supervision


  • Learn and utilize strategic sourcing methodologies including spend analysis, market research, benchmarking, negotiation, contracting and continuous improvement etc.


  • Collaborate with team members for contract and vendor management activities such as strategic reviews and site visits


  • Support identification and mitigation of risk as well as service escalations


  • Support documentation for annual budget process for all assigned suppliers



Required Qualifications:



  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or dual master's degree majoring in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business with a graduation date of Fall 2025-Spring 2026. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Exceland PowerPoint
  • Must be able to commit to program dates May 19th - August 8th
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Training or experience with cost modeling, data analysis and negotiation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Maximum Salary: $73528

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) - see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com--will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
