About the Role

Are you ready to lead the charge in building safer worksites and fostering a culture where safety is second nature? At Scotty's Contracting and Stone, we're seeking a dynamic Safety & Risk Management Specialist who is passionate about protecting people, minimizing risks, and making a difference. What You'll Do

- Be the Safety Architect: Design and implement cutting-edge safety policies that align with OSHA regulations and industry standards.
- Eyes on the Ground: Conduct frequent job site audits to identify hazards, ensure compliance, and lead proactive safety improvements.
- Teach & Inspire: Facilitate engaging training sessions on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and PPE, making safety resonate with every team member.
- Investigate & Innovate: Analyze incidents to uncover root causes, deliver actionable insights, and drive future prevention strategies.
- Collaborate & Communicate: Partner with project managers and crews to embed safety as a core value in everything we do.
- Plan for the Unexpected: Develop robust emergency response plans and oversee drills to ensure readiness.
- Stay Ahead: Keep up with safety trends, propose advancements, and champion continuous improvement in safety programs.

What We're Looking For

Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related field is required.

- 2+ years in a safety-focused role, ideally in the construction or heavy industry sector.
- Proven knowledge of OSHA standards and safety best practices.

- Related professional certifications are a bonus!
