Position Summary:

Supervises warehouse and/ or production activities and personnel. Assigns staff and monitors the flow of products through the plant. Make recommendations for process improvement.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming receipts and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of products, and keeping warehouse inventory current.

  • Inspects the physical condition of the warehouse and equipment. Communicates the need for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment.

  • Collaborates with other distribution centers and business leaders to ensure coordination of all business.

  • Participates in employee safety and plant protection activities.

  • Provides leadership, ensures adherence to company practices and procedures, applies corrective action when needed.

  • Interviews, trains, and retains staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff, initiates follow through with disciplinary action when appropriate for the department. Mentors, motivates, and develops staff and serves as a role model and resource to them

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong motivation toward company, team, and individual results.

  • Ability to work effectively with others as well as build and maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships.

  • Must be able to read, analyze, present, and interpret written documentation.

  • Ability to respond to questions from groups of managers,

  • Must have good time management and organizational skills.

  • Must have a good understanding of USDA regulations.

  • Ability to solve business problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule formats.

  • Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.

  • Networked printer/ copier/ scanner.

  • Google Applications (Chrome, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.)

  • Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer)

  • Telephone and Voicemail.

  • SPECIFIC SOFTWARE FOR COMPANY

  • RF Scangun

  • Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV)

  • Shrink wrap machine
