Position Summary

The NYU School of Professional Studies (SPS) is seeking a Communications, Marketing and Social Media Specialist to promote the Schack Institute of Real Estate's academic programs, conferences, and events to a broad range of stakeholders through social media and other marketing/communications initiatives. The individual will execute a strategy that is approved by the Marketing and Communications and Schack leadership team that ensures that the unit's programs are well represented and actively engaged with the specific entrepreneurial communities. This role will provide support to internal and external events run by the Institute in coordination with the School's Marketing and Events teams.

This position is located in our Midtown Center location - 20 W. 43rd Street.



Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree In communications, branding, marketing or a related field

Preferred Education:
Master's Degree

Required Experience:
3+ years A combination of brand management, social media strategy and execution, events planning, and communications.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated interest in real estate and the NYU economy. Interest in issues related to environmental sustainability, clean energy, and green tech is desirable. Must have knowledge and skills related to social media and analytical skills to measure the impact of social media work. Must have experience with event planning and execution. Must have excellent interpersonal and a demonstrated ability to communicate concisely and clearly through a variety of platforms.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Motivated, proactive, and resourceful with strong attention to detail. Experience in graphic and website design, HTML, email campaign software, and well versed in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.



Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $83,884.76. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
