Job Description Summary

Position Objective:

The Product Line Manager is responsible for the design and execution of a comprehensive lifecycle plan including market strategy, product selection, acquisition/disposal, product support, and lifecycle returns for assigned capital equipment categories. Position includes development of appropriate strategies for the selection and qualification of products based upon market position, products, and the full life cycle supplier support.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of fleet strategies and initiatives that effectively reduce the total cost of equipment ownership
  • Perform industry benchmarking and total cost of ownership analysis to identify continuous cost & fleet improvements
  • Development of a fleet plan including purchases and disposals with the intention of maximizing the life cycle returns from the rental fleet
  • Lead the identification of products and supplier offerings that will enhance company performance through new products additions or alternatives
  • Reduce costs, improve efficiencies and secure favorable operational programs while cultivating long term, mutually beneficial relationships with Sunbelt's Preferred Suppliers
  • Lead the development of training, maintenance, and analysis to support the product line
  • Present material in effective, concise oral and written form to Sunbelt's Executives related to findings, opportunities and progress on projects that directly impact the company's P&L
  • Establish relationships within Sunbelt to become an integral member of many cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, Procurement, Marketing, etc.) within the business

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field of study or equivalent years of experience plus 5-7 years of product life-cycle management
  • Familiarity with the construction capital equipment marketplace, either from an equipment fleet management or manufacturer perspective
  • Experience in managing the lifecycle of high dollar value product portfolios
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle and cost of ownership metrics
  • Demonstrated leadership in internal and external functions, with proven results in total cost of ownership reduction and process efficiency improvement
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills; comfortable in dealing with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to manage and analyze existing contracts and identify spend reduction, spend leveraging and other opportunities to maximize equipment utility
  • Demonstrated ability to affect positive change and to deliver results in a complex organization
  • Strong analytical capabilities necessary to assess the short and long-term requirements and needs of the business
  • Demonstrated project management required to lead, coach and mentor a team of members who may or may not report to this position within the organization (i.e. matrix management)
  • MBA preferred
  • AEMP professional certification preferred
Base Pay Range: $91,568.00 - 125,906.00

Sunbelt also provides a comprehensive benefits package to its full-time employees. You will become eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days from your start date. Sunbelt offers team members the following time off from work, subject to Sunbelt's policies: twelve to twenty-five vacation days depending on years of service; five sick days; six paid holidays, two paid half day holidays, two floating holidays, one inclusion day, and one volunteer day (unless specified in a collective bargaining agreement).
