  • Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all Environment of Care Programs, including the seven (7) functional areas: Safety, Security, Hazardous Materials/Waste, Emergency Preparedness, Life Safety, Medical Equipment and Utility Systems. The Safety Officer interacts with federal, state, and local entities related to this facility's response during community-wide emergencies. Responsible for managing risk, coordinating risk reduction activities, collecting deficiency information and disseminating summaries of actions and results as they pertain to the physical environment.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years in a healthcare or hospital setting
  • Hazardous Materials Train the Trainer (DECON Trainer Certified)
  • HAZWOPER Instructor

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Certified Emergency Disaster Professional (CEDP) or similar credentials
  • NIMS ICS-00100, NIMS IS-00200, NIMS IS-00700.A, & NIMS IS-00800.b
