The Quality Engineer at the Dixon manufacturing plant will be responsible for initiatives on-site that focus on Core ISO/IATF competencies and continuous improvement activities both customer product based and strategic process development. Maintaining compliance with applicable customer and company processes and specifications are top priorities. The right candidate will help drive the adoption of strategic QMS processes, install, develop and/or implement the appropriate system improvements, measures and reinforcement activities to shape the QMS culture of our facility.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Initiating internal continuous improvement quality projects.

  • Facilitating effective corrective actions internally and externally and includes dealing with internal personnel as well as customers, suppliers, etc.

  • Supporting third party quality audits.

  • Develop quality procedures to maintain controls of processes.

  • Responsibility for customer certifications and product measuring and testing.

  • Effectively developing and leading cross-functional process improvement teams.

  • Transferring best practices, techniques, procedures and tools to peers and other process improvement teams.

  • Applying Six Sigma tools and methodology to improve process capability and eliminate defects.

  • Demonstrating successful application of new methodologies to improve product and process quality.

  • Leading internal auditing of established management systems.

  • Investigating and determine root causes for internal and external rejections, implement preventive corrective actions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Engineering or equivalent working experience

  • Three or more yearsof quality and manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical field

  • Preferred Aerospace Experience such as AS9100, FAA-PMA

  • Preferred DMIR, DAR, DQR experience

Annual Salary Range : $60,000 - $75,800 annually. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance.
