We are looking for a diligent and meticulous Financial Analyst III to join our Corporate Operations Finance team at Blue Origin. This role will support the Facilities, Maintenance, & Security Operations (FMSO) organization and require someone who is proactive and highly organized. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business operations, financial management, and Capital Expenditure planning. You will collaborate with the FMSO - Construction Center of Excellence leadership team and Business Unit teams to monitor and report on project performance and manage capital expenditures for critical infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage Capital Expenditures (CAPEX) and review associated processes.

  • Conduct financial analysis and generate reports to ensure project expenditures align with negotiated and agreed budgets.

  • Lead the monthly financial reporting cycle, including variance analysis and management reporting.

  • Improve financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to boost efficiency and accuracy.

  • Suggest and implement operational improvements; identify and mitigate key financial and non-financial risks.

  • Develop and present content to support reviews by Business Units and Corporate Operations.

  • Perform risk and opportunity analyses, propose potential solutions, and collaborate with the Facilities, Maintenance, and Security Operations (FMSO) team to formulate recovery plans.

  • Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of financial plans with strategic objectives.

Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or an analytical field

  • 5+ years of post-graduation financial analysis experience.

  • Knowledge of forecasting and financial modeling techniques.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills capable of conveying complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical collaborators.

  • Intermediate Excel proficiency including Pivot tables, Vlookups, etc.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Planful.

  • Budget and cost management.

  • CapEx planning and tracking.

  • Operational reporting and performance analysis.

  • Experience with SQL.
