Duties, Responsibilities & Other

We are seeking to grow our construction engineering team in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. You will be joining our aspirational and enthusiastic team in providing our clients with high quality and complex engineering solutions.

We define construction engineering as design consulting services across many aspects of project delivery ranging from construction logistics planning, demolition and shoring design, means and methods, crane and hoist design, steel connections, and site observations. The right candidate will have a background in structural engineering design, with the aptitude of working with contractors on projects that are in the construction phase.

We are interested in hearing from candidates who have experience with permanent works design, temporary works design and construction engineering experience. The right candidate will have at least 2 years of structural or construction engineering experience, be able to work independently, and have creative problem-solving skills.

This role provides the opportunity to work directly with architects, contractors and developers to create structural engineering solutions to overcome a wide range of technical challenges contractors face when constructing buildings and infrastructure projects.

    Perform a wide range of structural engineering analysis and design tasks in steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures (permanent and temporary) to US design codes and standards.
  • Design and prepare deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful completion within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Utilize strong organizational and scheduling skills to effectively track project progress and deliverables, providing regular updates to project stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review engineering plans, drawings, and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information and ensure project compliance with local regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to obtain necessary permits, approvals, and clearances for project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in engineering techniques and technologies.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for future collaboration.
  • A strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn is essential in this position.


Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. Appropriate graduate level work is preferred.
    • Minimum of 4 - 8 years of professional experience.
    • Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
